Sales Representative

Field Day Brewing Co. is seeking a Sales Representative in the Des Moines, Iowa area.

This role focuses on growing our presence beyond the taproom by building relationships, expanding distribution, and getting our product into the right accounts. Field Day Brewing Co. is based in North Liberty, Iowa. We’re a full-service brewery and restaurant built on exceptional hospitality and world-class beer, and we’re growing.

You’ll drive beer sales growth by opening new accounts and representing the brand in the Central Iowa market through relationships, events, and strong execution.

We’re looking for someone who can sell, follow through, and take ownership of their territory. This is an opportunity to help grow something from the ground up and make a real impact as we expand.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $45,000 per year
  • Bonus Opportunity: $1.25 per Case Equivalent (CE) sold within your assigned territory. Bonus payouts are calculated on eligible sales and paid bi-weekly.

Accountabilities

  • Brand Representation: Act as a Field Day ambassador. Professional, personable, and passionate.
  • Product Knowledge & Advocacy: Understand and communicate our beer styles, brewing process, and brand story.
  • Promoting Brand Loyalty: Foster strong relationships with accounts through education and service.
  • Maintaining Consistent Brand Presence: Keep our displays sharp, our presence felt, and our values visible.
  • Feedback & Reporting: Provide timely updates to the sales team on account visits, sales metrics, and customer feedback.

Job Responsibilities

  • Regularly visit on- and off-premise accounts (bars, restaurants, retailers, grocery, c-stores, and more) across Central Iowa to ensure optimal product placement, staff knowledge, and merchandising.
  • Actively sell new and existing products to current accounts and seek out new opportunities to expand our market footprint.
  • Support brand loyalty by providing account staff with product education and marketing materials.
  • Work closely with our distributors to ensure high performance and smooth product launches.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and social media team to plan and execute tastings, promotions, and brand events.
  • Coordinate with marketing on product/event promotion and in-store activations.
  • Maintain clear and timely feedback on market conditions, competitive activity, and account needs.
  • Ensure Field Day Brewery’s brand is represented consistently and professionally across all accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Willing and able to travel throughout the Central Iowa region

  • Knowledge of beer preferred—training will be provided

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must reside in Central Iowa (Des Moines/Ames area) or be willing to relocate
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation required
  • Comfortable with frequent travel to accounts, events, and meetings throughout Central Iowa
  • Mileage/gas reimbursed; vehicle stipend provided with potential transition to a company vehicle based on performance
  • Must be able to pass the Iowa Program for Alcohol Compliance Training
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
